ADOPT A PAPER

Past Rounds: January 2021

In January 2021, our first round of the program, we were able to successfully match 123 junior scholars to expert seniors in their fields. Below are some summary statistics of who the mentees and mentors were, and how the junior-senior matches were created.

How Were the Matches Created?

To ensure a fair and high-quality match, we randomly picked a junior scholar and assigned them with an (or all) appropriate and still available senior scholar(s) whose expertise matched that of the junior's working paper, according to the JEL codes submitted by senior and junior scholars. If multiple high-quality matches were available for a given paper, we gave priority to senior scholars with editorial experience. Once the matches were created, we put mentors and mentees in contact by email. From that point onward, each pair communicated privately, at their own discretion.
